This was my first attempt at tanning fish skin! Two rainbow trout skins were given to me by some friends. I cleaned them and carefully scraped the inner skins, then soaked them in urine for a few days in order to tan them.
Finally I stretched them into beautiful soft leather. I kept the skins for years and now I decided to make them into a little bag.
At first, I didn’t know how I was going to sew them together, but the fish dictated the design.
I guess now I’ll have to make a hook and line to keep in my little fishing bag!
